Dr. Steven Tucker, a leading US-based medical oncologist, will serve as Medical Director for The West Clinic Excellence Cancer Center in Singapore. Dr. Tucker has been widely recognized as the Director of the Prostate & Genitourinary Oncology Program at The Angeles Clinic & Research Institute in Santa Monica, California. In addition, Dr. Tucker served as Attending Physician at the Cedars- Sinai Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the UCLA School of Medicine.

Board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, Dr. Tucker earned his Medical degree in 1994 from the University of Missouri-Columbia, School of Medicine ; completed his postdoctoral training in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Hematology, and Stem Cell Transplantation at the UCLA Center for Health Sciences; and served as a Guest Investigator at the Rockefeller University in New York City.

As a leading activist in both laboratory and clinical investigations, Dr. Tucker serves as Chairman of the Prostate and Genitourinary Program for the Accelerated Community Oncology Research Network (ACORN) a US-based research network comprised of major medical oncology practices.

In addition to investigative medicine, Dr. Tucker has been a political advocate for the Oncology community having served as President of the Medical Oncology Association of Southern California, on the ASCO Clinical Practice Committee, and on the Board of Directors of the Community Oncology Alliance. Dr. Tucker has received numerous honors and awards including an ASCO Merit Award, an NIH Commendation, the UCLA ‘STAR' Program Award, a Pew Foundation Fellowship, and the University of Missouri Medical Scholarship.

Dr. Tucker has published numerous papers in peer-reviewed publications and lectured extensively throughout the United States and internationally on the topic of prostate cancer. He serves as a Section Editor for the journal CommunityOncology , focusing on the application of new drugs and technology in the community setting. In addition, he serves as a reviewer for numerous journals on topics including delivery of quality oncology care and prostate cancer.

Before moving to Singapore, Dr. Tucker lived in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters. Prior to the birth of their children, Asa Tucker served as Head of Legal for Dreamworks Studio in Los Angeles, California.
