The West Clinic Comprehensive Breast Center
Relocates, Expanding Services and Breast Surgeon Team

August 27, 2011 MEMPHIS, TN The West Clinic Comprehensive Breast Center is pleased to announce the opening of its state-of-the-art, expanded new location on 8000 Wolf River Blvd, Germantown, TN.   The Center is the first of its kind in our region offering fully-integrated, complete breast care and the highest level of care, including state-of-the-art digital mammography, breast ultrasound, stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies, genetic counseling, breast surgery, chemotherapy and clinical trials. Previously located at 1385 West Brierbrook Road in Germantown, the new medical suite will be approximately 12,000–square-feet.

According to Michael P. Berry, MD, FACS, “We are very excited to be moving into our new location. The new site will integrate comprehensive breast services, medical oncology, genetics, pain management, and a patient navigator program which will centralize care under one roof. Our mammograms are read in ‘real-time’ by highly qualified radiologists, and biopsies can be performed on-site the same day if needed. This is of tremendous benefit to our patients, helping to alleviate the anxiety of waiting days or even weeks for a procedure and/or to obtain results.”

The West Clinic Comprehensive Breast Center recently welcomed Richard E. Fine, MD, FACS, one of the nation’s leading board certified breast surgeons to its premier team which includes Michael P. Berry, MD, FACS, and Roy M. Oswaks, MD. As former Director of Advanced Breast Care in Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Fine is an innovative pioneer in the diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases with extensive experience in new breast biopsy methods. The breast surgery team’s combined expertise is of the highest caliber and unparalleled in our region.

West Clinic surgeons work collaboratively with a specialized team of medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, and radiologists conducting multidisciplinary breast conferences whereby cases are reviewed at the highest level in order to develop the most highly targeted treatments for the patient.
