West Clinic and Memphis Heart Clinic Appoint Erich Mounce, CEO

Memphis, TN- April 19, 2010 Erich Mounce has been named Chief Executive Officer of The West Clinic, one of the nation’s top community oncology practices, and Memphis Heart Clinic, a nationally-recognized cardiac clinic for quality and excellence in patient care. Before coming to Memphis, Mounce was the Chief Operating Officer of Lakeside Systems / Lakeside Comprehensive Healthcare in Glendale, CA, a community healthcare organization that included a 105 physician multispecialty medical group, a 2000 member physician IPA with 200,000 members and a Medicare Advantage Plan.

With more than 25 years experience in the health care industry, Mr. Mounce has a proven record of operational excellence. As past President and CEO of Envision Hospital Corporation, he has served on numerous Leadership and Advisory Boards. During his tenure with Envision Hospital Corporation, Mounce was instrumental in the development of the DC Healthcare Alliance, a public private partnership to care for Washington, DC’s indigent population. He has participated in the direct leadership, acquisition and restructuring of hospitals, hospital and physician-owned multispecialty medical groups, and managed care organizations.

Mr. Mounce started his healthcare career as a licensed paramedic in 1981 with Los Angeles County and worked as Senior Field Paramedic for Los Angeles City Fire Department for ten years. He is also the co-founder of LovingBack.com, an online resource for caregivers of aging parents in Southern California.
