Tammara graduated Summa Cum Laude from LeMoyne-Owen College with a Bachelor of Science major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She then graduated with High Honors from the University of Tennessee, Memphis, with a BSN Nursing Degree. She returned to UT where she earned her PhD in Nursing as well as MSN and Family Nurse Practitioner certification. She is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. A highly experienced oncology nurse, she is also seeking to add Oncology Nursing Society certification to her many professional credentials. Tammera finds her work with Dr. Reed and cancer patients particularly rewarding as Dr. Reed treated her father.

In addition to serving the needs of her patients, Tammara devotes spare time to aid others while serving as the chair of her church’s Health Ministry. From senior centers to tutoring youth to organizing church health fairs, Tammara cares for the community.

Tammera enjoys reading and traveling with her husband. In particular, she loves Mexico’s tranquil blue-green waters and white sand.
