An unbridled passion for science combined with the desire to help people has guided Dr. Arnold throughout her career. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors from the University of Memphis with a B.S. in Microbiology. Not wishing to spend her career in a research lab, she then attended Baptist Memorial Hospital School of Medical Technology and earned a B.S. in Medical Technology with co-Valedictorian honors. She loved her science-based hospital work, yet wanted to be able to provide additional services for patients in a more hands-on capacity. After finishing graduate course work in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology at the University of Memphis, she attended Medical School at the University of Tennessee Center for the Health Sciences, Memphis, Tennessee . She completed her Internship and Residency in Internal Medicine there as well. She practiced Internal Medicine in Oxford, Mississippi for four years before returning to Memphis to focus on the acute medical needs of patients who are hospitalized.

Dr. Arnold serves the patients of The West Clinic in the capacity of Hospitalist. She is often the first West Clinic physician a patient sees when being admitted to the hospital. Her Board Certification in Internal Medicine and extensive experience in hospital settings enable her to focus on acute medical problems that a patient may be having in addition to their cancer or hematological disorders. As her work is focused upon caring for West Clinic patients who are in the hospital, she is in a position to closely monitor conditions and responses to treatment. Their goal is to provide enhanced patient care along with reduced hospital stays as appropriate.

Dr. Arnold is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and holds licenses to practice medicine in Mississippi and Tennessee . She holds memberships in the American Medical Association, the National Association of Inpatient Physicians, and the American College of Physicians-American Society of Internal Medicine. She is known for her patience and gift for teaching and has served as the Associate Director of Internal Medicine Training Program, University of Tennessee.

Dr. Arnold partakes in a host of activities when she is not seeing patients. An avid traveler, she enjoys city-based vacations and is looking forward to exploring Europe more in the future. She also reads and loves to dance.
