Dr. Ron Lawson has been a practicing Medical Oncology/Hematology specialist in the Memphis community for several years. Dr. Lawson obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and went on to complete his Residency and Internship in Internal Medicine at Methodist Hospitals of Memphis and a Fellowship in Medical Oncology and Hematology from the University of Texas System Cancer Center: MD Anderson Hospital and Tumor Institute.
Dr. Lawson has interest in all aspects of medical oncology and hematology. He will primarily see patients at our Midtown location. Dr. Lawson is well known to patients and physicians in West Tennessee, north Mississippi and east Arkansas and is heavily involved in teaching at multiple levels. Through The West Clinic affiliation with Methodist Healthcare and the University of Tennessee, Dr. Lawson teaches physicians in training, particularly those physicians who will become oncologists and hematologists. While Dr. Lawson treats patients with a variety of malignancies his special interest is in brain cancer research. In his spare time Dr. Lawson raises all types of plants and animals. Besides having a salt water aquarium Dr. Lawson raises quail, ducks, chickens and a variety of reptiles. He and his wife Tiffany travel in their camper when they can get away.
