Dr. Baum served as Chief Resident in Diagnostic Radiology at St. Louis University and completed his Fellowship in Angiography/Interventional Radiology at the University of Tennessee, Memphis where he had attended medical school. He became a part of The West Clinic team in 1998 in order to have the opportunity to provide advanced radiological services to patients in a caring atmosphere.

Dr. Baum specializes in both interventional and diagnostic radiology. Diagnostic radiology refers to x-rays or scans that are performed to determine the existence or spread of disease. Interventional radiologists specialize in minimally invasive, targeted treatments performed using imaging guidance. These interventional procedures replace open surgical procedures. Patients generally have an easier time since the procedures involve no large incisions, with less risk, less pain and shorter recovery times.

Dr. Baum seeks to instill a sense of comfort and hope in each patient he treats. There is a spirit of teamwork and sense of family within the Clinic where Dr. Baum, the staff and his patients are all together in their fight against cancer. He praises the staff for their compassion and dedication to all patients.
