Dr. Khattak is originally from Pakistan. She moved to United States in her teen years and later returned to Pakistan to attend Shifa College of Medicine, Islamabad Pakistan where she graduated in in 2004. While is medical school, she became engaged Dr. Haris Zafarullah. After marriage, they moved to Memphis, TN where she completed her Internal Medicine training from University of Tennessee in June 2009. She began her Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at University of Tennessee in July 2009 and is currently in her third year of training. During her training, she has been involved in clinical research of solid tumor malignancies. After graduation, she would like to pursue her career in a private practice setting. Her primary interest is in Breast Oncology. Dr. Khattak is a proud mother of two precious girls. Her husband is pursuing training in Interventional Cardiology. She feels immense pleasure and pride in being able to be a part of her patients’ lives, helping them cope with and heal from cancer.
