Dr. Zafar Latif

Dr. Latif is a third year Hematology Oncology Fellow at the University of Tennessee Health Sciences Center. He received his Medical Degree from the Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan in 2004. He began his post graduate training at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, Connecticut where he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine. Following this he accepted a Fellowship to specialize in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Tennessee.

Dr. Latif is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and aims to take his medical oncology and hematology boards upon completion of his specialty training. Dr. Latif takes pride in providing high level care for all those he serves. The human aspect of the practice of medicine is what he especially enjoys.

Dr. Latif is married and has two daughters, who take up most of his time while not at work. He takes pride in being the family’s “go to” breakfast chef. He sees patients on Wednesday afternoons with Dr. Pallera.
