In 2004, The West Clinic opened its first clinic in Corinth, underscoring its ongoing commitment to patients in Northeast Mississippi. Dr. Sylvia Richey was The West Clinic’s first medical oncology and hematology specialist to treat patients in our Corinth clinic. Today, our physician team has grown to include Dr. Mark Reed, Gynecologic Oncologist, and Drs. Stephen Besh and David Portnoy, Medical Oncology and Hematology specialists. Each physician sees patients at the clinic on a weekly basis. In addition, our patients have access to the newest drugs and therapies through our clinical trials program and the highest standard of care, utilizing Evidence-based Treatment Protocols.
Our vision to establish a state-of-the-art cancer center led to the formation of a unique partnership with Magnolia Regional Health Center. In 2009, together we opened Magnolia Cancer Center, offering a full spectrum of cancer services from diagnosis to treatment including radiation therapy and chemotherapy.
