Wings Cancer Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit and is the premier cancer support organization in the Mid-South. The Wings mission is to help cancer patients manage the physical, spiritual, and emotional issues of their journey. When a cancer diagnosis turns a life upside down, Wings is there to help with our programs and services, and no person is ever charged.
Founded in 1996 by Sandy Patterson, a cancer survivor, alongside her co-founder Brenda Wiseman and with the support of her West Cancer Clinic physician Dr. Kurt Tauer, Wings has been nationally recognized for excellence and its commitment to aiding in the comfort and healing of those touched by cancer. The Wings team of professionals and network of services focuses on meeting the needs of those fighting cancer. Wings Cancer Foundation works closely with The West Clinic to provide that extra layer of support for patients when needed.
Like the word wings implies in nature, Wings Cancer Foundation is all about support through an essential relationship. Everything they do is designed to foster hope, educate and provide support to cancer patients and families – all at no cost. With years of practical experience, and in some cases cancer survival, their team of professionals and network of services focuses on meeting the needs of those fighting cancer.
